Questions about exams
Do I need an exam if I see fine?
Yes. An exam checks the health of your eyes as well as your vision, and some eye problems cause no change in how you see at first.
Will my eyes be dilated?
Sometimes. The doctor tells you why before using the drops. Your near vision may be blurry for a few hours, so bring sunglasses.
How is an exam billed?
A routine exam goes to your vision plan. If the doctor looks into a problem, that part goes to your medical insurance.
