Your prescription

Your prescription is yours

After your exam, we give you a copy of your glasses prescription. After a contact lens fitting, we give you a copy of that one. You can fill them anywhere.

You never have to buy from us to get your prescription, and we do not charge for a copy.

  • A paper or digital copy, as you prefer

  • Your pupil distance on request

  • Ask us to send it to the shop you choose

Questions about your prescription

When do I get my prescription?

At the end of your exam, for glasses. After the fitting is complete, for contact lenses.

Can I buy glasses online with it?

Yes. It is your prescription, and you can use it with any seller.

How long does it last?

A prescription has an expiration date, which is on it. The doctor tells you when to come back for a new exam.
